If you are a community organization, a non-profit or charitable organization, or an individual with a charitable cause, reach out to us by sending an email to info@jahanlaw.ca setting out as much information as possible about your organization including website, mission statement, a document setting out your position within the organization, as well as a statement describing what support or assistance you may require from our law firm. If we have available resources at the time and find your cause to be in alignment with our core values, we will try to assist your organization in any way we can. ORGANIZATIONS ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF NEWCOMERS TO CANADA
We at Jahanshahi Law Firm celebrate newcomers and encourage a culture of inclusion and diversity. We know that immigration requires resilience, courage, and adaptiveness and we welcome all newcomers to Canada. We believe that due to the unique challenges facing newcomers, they require social support, community programs, and settlement services that will help them thrive within our welcoming society. Our business law team currently offers select newcomers a one-on-one free consultation for 20 minutes regarding their business or real estate law matter. If you are a newcomer looking for a business lawyer and would like to participate in the program, please send an email to info@jahanlaw.ca requesting a free consultation. Please note that spots are limited, and our free business law consultation offered to newcomers works on a first-come-first-serve basis.
ORGANIZATIONS ADVOCATING FOR HUMAN RIGHTS
The United Nations defines human rights as the rights we have because we exist as human beings regardless of, among other things, nationality, language, appearance, color, sex, origin, education, and class. In Canada, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms forms part of the constitution and protects human rights including but not limited to the right to free speech, expression, assembly, and religion. While Canada is a model when it comes to the protection of human rights, it is up to every one of us to continue to defend and respect human rights. CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS
We believe that living in a culturally diverse country like Canada is a privilege and a unique opportunity. Living in Canada offers us the chance to come together and have delightful experiences we would have otherwise had to travel to far places to experience. Cultural organizations are organizations that further the causes of a specific culture. Such organizations organize events, celebrations, and public outings, ultimately setting the foundation of vibrant communities. We would like to support such organizations to ensure they are able to continue their culturally related community services within our society.
NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
As a business law firm, we are proponents of the idea of equal access to opportunity which we believe includes the promotion of entrepreneurship among the youth. Launching a business is both challenging and exciting. There are numerous non-profit organizations in Ontario that provide support to new start-ups with the goal of assisting young entrepreneurs to break into the exciting world of entrepreneurship.
